Research Focus

Overview

My research centers on developing ethical and fair artificial intelligence systems that can be trusted in real-world applications. I work at the intersection of machine learning, human-computer interaction, and social responsibility to create AI that serves all members of society equitably.

Algorithmic Fairness
Developing methods to detect, measure, and mitigate bias in machine learning systems across different domains including hiring, lending, and healthcare.
Interpretable AI
Creating machine learning models that provide clear explanations for their decisions, enabling better human understanding and trust.
Computer Vision Ethics
Addressing privacy, consent, and bias issues in computer vision applications, particularly in surveillance and facial recognition systems.
Human-AI Collaboration
Designing interfaces and interaction patterns that enhance human decision-making while leveraging AI capabilities responsibly.
